Russ and Joann Hoover, North Manchester, will mark their 60th wedding anniversary April 24, 2008. The couple were married April 24, 1948, in West Manchester Church of the Brethren with the Rev. T.G. Weaver officiating.

He worked at Harting Furniture for 19 years and a Peabody Seating Co. for nine years. He retired from Zimmer in Warsaw in 1991 after 15 years of service. She worked for Heckman Bindery for 30 years before retiring in 1988.

The couple have three children: Steve (and spouse Kris) Hoover, Westfield; Randy (and spouse Sandy) Hoover, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Nancy (and spouse Frank) Harris, Michigan City. They have three grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house Saturday in the recreation room at Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, from 2 to 4 p.m. Cards and letters will be appreciated at the open house, but no gifts are requested.
