Homer Caudill, 100, of Pierceton, died at 4:30 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008, in Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born Nov. 14, 1907, in Riceville, Ky., to Frank and Rose Rice Caudill. In 1928, in Kentucky, he married Golda Stone, who died in March 1991.

Living in the Pierceton area since 1946, he was a retired self-employed truck driver and a member of United Baptist.

Surviving are three sons: Bill (and spouse Ilarae) South Bend; Delbert (and spouse Rhoda) Caudill, San Antonio, Fla.; and Mike (and spouse Bonnie) Caudill, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Linda (and spouse Lynn) Pletcher, Yucaipa, Calif.; three sisters: Mildred Picklesmier, Dayton, Ohio; Martha Hackworth, Paintsville, Ky.; and Gladys Rice, Troy, Ohio; a brother, Leonard Caudill, Staffordsville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, a sister and a grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Denver Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
