Editor, Times-Union:

I fully agree with Ms. Tam Vogel in her editorial Nov. 22.

We could sit comfortably in our church pews on Sunday morning except for Micah 6:8. This was written by the Prophet Micah to a people that made sure their worship was strictly according to the rules, but forgot what was important to God. But they like the Pharisees in the N.T. forgot the more weighty issues of the law.[[In-content Ad]]Micah 6:8 says, "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with you God."

I trust through this whole issue we can keep this perspective in mind and come up with an answer that would agree with God's perspective. For God's perspective is what we will be called to answer to in the end.

Chip Shots: How Callous IS It?
For every 700 to 1,000 words of mine you read on any given Saturday, I have a list of callous, cynical thoughts and remarks I can make about the topics I discuss… easily five-fold of what I allow past my filter and, in turn, e-mail to my editor.
