Jessica Marie Hollar and Jared Jesse Lanier were married at 6 p.m. Dec. 27, 2009, at The Grand Wailea, Maui, Hawaii, by the Rev. Ron Winkler.

The bride's parents are Pamela Hollar Lakoski, Leesburg, and the late Thomas C. Hollar. The groom's parents are Hugh and Patricia Lanier, Jacksonville, N.C.

Maid of honor was Alexis E. Hollar, Georgetown, Washington, D.C., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Olivia Lanier, sister of the groom, and Brooke Lanier, sister-in-law of the groom, both of Jacksonville.

Best man was Hugh Lanier III, Jacksonville, brother of the groom. Groomsman was Hugh Lanier Jr., Jacksonville, father of the groom.

The reception was at Humuhumunukunukuapua'a at the Grand Wailea, Maui.

The bride is a nurse at CarolinaEast Health Care Systems, New Bern, N.C. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2004; earned a bachelor's degree in sports medicine from DePauw University, Greencastle, in 2008; and earned an accelerated bachelor's degree in nursing from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., in 2009.

The groom is a project manager at Quality Roofers, Jacksonville. He graduated from Jacksonville (N.C.) High School in 2003, and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, in 2007.

The wedding trip was to Bora Bora in French Polynesia.
