Miles and the former Patricia Kuhn were married June 15, 1963, at Akron United Methodist Church by the Revs. Wesley Bullis and Claude Fawns.
Miles retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation, and Pat retired from banking and office management.
They enjoy spending time with their sons and grandchildren.
The couple have two sons, Brent (and spouse Jessica) and Troy (and spouse Susan), all of Silver Lake; and five grandchildren.
They plan to celebrate with family and also are planning a trip at a later date.
