The Kosciusko County Historical Society was presented with the Indiana Excellence in Global Information Systems Award at the State GIS Conference in May. This award was given to the society for their project of mapping the gravestones of Kosciusko County, and sharing the data through the county’s Beacon GIS website. The work was completed under the direction of the Gravestone Mapping Project manager Bill Holder, Kosciusko County GSI director.
