SYRACUSE – Eight different countries were represented when more than 30 women gathered April 12-14 in Syracuse for the second annual convention of Hispanic Women of Grace.
Organized by Cristina Menchaca of Cristo es la Esperanza Church, 910 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, the convention included women and leaders from Hispanic churches as far away as Florida.
Using the theme “Belleza que Dura,” (Beauty that Lasts), the group focused its discussion on the fundamentals of cultivating inner, lasting beauty. The speaker for the weekend was Viki Rife, who grew up in a missionary family in Argentina and is the director-elect of the national organization, Women of Grace USA.
Next year’s convention is scheduled to be in Atlanta, Ga.
