Hiram Simpson, 73, of Warsaw, died at 6:45 a.m. Nov. 22, 2008, in his residence.

He was born March 7, 1935, in Bell County, Ky., to Frank and Bertha Collett Simpson. On Nov. 19, 1992, in Warsaw, he married Jolene Holbrook, who survives.

Moving to Warsaw in 1977, he owned and operated H&H Tree Service, Warsaw, retiring in 1999.

Also surviving are a son, David Simpson, Frankfort, Ky.; four daughters: Judy Caldwell, Pineville, Ky.; Linda Hill, New Tazewell, Tenn.; Janie Simpson, Harrogate, Tenn.; and Paula Hanlon, Carrollton, Ky.; two sisters, Gladys Lawson and Brenda Brown, both of Frankfort, Ky.; three brothers, Denver Simpson, Sunman; Earl Simpson, Frankfort, Ky.; and James Simpson, Louisville, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a child.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Roy Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
