Randy and Lesa Hershberger, Goshen, and formerly of Warsaw, announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsy Diane Hershberger, Goshen, to John "Jake" Christian Pelkey, West Lafayette. He is the son of John and Patricia Pelkey, Gary.

The bride-to-be works at Zimmer, Warsaw. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School, Warsaw, in 2005, and earned a bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism management from Purdue University in 2009.

The groom-elect is a student at Purdue University, West Lafayette, and will graduate May 2010, with accounting and management degrees. He graduated from Marian Catholic High School, Chicago Heights, Ill., in 2005.

The couple plan a Sept. 5, 2010, wedding.
