I am still shocked that my role model, Roy Hine, has passed on. I will never forget the first time working with him. It's an experience I cannot put into words. Everything that he has taught me will forever be imprinted in my mind. This man is the one who first fueled and ignited my passion for theater. Without Roy believing in me, I would not be involved in theater to this very day.

Five years ago, Roy gave me the chance to experience the rewards of theater, and for that I am thankful for. Roy made me believe in myself, as well as giving me the chance to show my once-hidden abilities. He has inspired me to become more than I ever thought I could be. He pushed me to my limit, and now every time I step onto a stage, I think of Roy and the many doors he has opened for me. It was a complete joy to have worked with him. And even though I sometimes flounder through an audition, I don't let it get me down because of him inspiring me years ago.

I could tell that Roy loved being with the people at the Wagon Wheel, and because of that, I felt like I actually belonged there. I know that his legacy will be carried through future Wagon Wheel shows, and no one will forget him and his never-ending passion. He will forever be remembered by the people he worked with - no matter how long or how little they have worked with him. And as I sit in the audience for "Cinderella," I know he will be looking down on all of the actors - and I know he will be proud of each and every one of them.

My words alone cannot express how much I will miss him. I now realize how much he has impacted my life, and I sometimes wish that I were in more of his productions. Without him giving me a chance, I honestly feel that I would not have been in any of my recent shows this year. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and the people he has ever worked with. He has touched everyone that has ever stepped onto the Wagon Wheel stage, as well as the audiences that have seen and been touched by his work. I want to say that I love this man for inspiring me, and that he will always be my hero.
