ARGOS - Herman C. Faulkner, 93, of Argos, and formerly of Ohio, died Feb. 22, 2008, while under Hospice care. He was in failing health for two years.

He was born Aug. 28, 1914, in Urbana, Ohio, to Lloyd and Gladys Faulkner. On Dec. 3, 1965, in Argos, he married Mildred Kesler Sherer.

He lived in Argos for 43 years. He enjoyed his family, horses, fishing, woodworking, dancing, Big Band music, cards and bowling. He was a former member of the Argos Town Board.

Surviving are five step-children: Becky Sherer (and spouse Fred) Hossler, Wisconsin, and formerly of Warsaw; Jerry (and spouse Shirley) Sherer, Indianapolis; Margie Sherer (and spouse Dennis) Buschman, Reynolds; Jo Ann Sherer (and spouse Doug) Alexander, Dyer; and Devon (and spouse Carmelita) Sherer, Cicero; 17 grandchildren, including Katie May Morris, Warsaw; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, both of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and two grandsons.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, with the Rev. Robert J. Vale, of Argos United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
