NORTH WEBSTER – Henry M. “Mack” Lewis Jr., 79, North Webster, passed away at 5:04 a.m. Sept. 6, 2014, at University Nursing Center, Upland.
He was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Evansville, to Henry M. and Stella Hunter Lewis. On Sept. 20, 1991, in Henderson, Ky., he married Bonnie Landrum Jones, who preceded him in death Dec. 24, 2013.
He graduated from Old Central High School in Evansville. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He moved to the North Webster area more than 20 years ago from Michigan, and was formerly employed at Lance’s New Market in North Webster for over 10 years. He was a former lieutenant for Smith Security, Detroit, Mich.
He was a member of the North Webster American Legion Post #253 and VFW in Evansville.
Surviving are five daughters: Claudia (and Thomas Pickerill) and Juanita Cissna, all of Pierceton; Cheryl and Carla Lewis, both of Evansville; Christi (and spouse Craig) Bevins, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony “Mack” Lewis; and a great-great-granddaughter, Chloe Fetcher.
No public funeral services will be held.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster.
