Henry J. Neibert, 84, of Warsaw, died at 7:10 p.m. April 24, 2009, in his daughter's residence.

He was born March 19, 1925, in Hammond, to Henry J. and Mary Alice Mitchell Neibert. On June 8, 1946, in Michigan City, he married Doris Sydow, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 14, 1980, in Michigan City, he married Jeanette Killingbeck, who preceded him in death.

He moved to Warsaw to Michigan City in 1997. He was an electrician for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, East Chicago, and served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II from 1943-45.

Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Duffin and Connie Van Slyke, both of LaPorte; a stepdaughter, Karen Snyder, North Carolina; a stepson, Darryl Killingbeck, England; a sister, Francis Davis, Hammond; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, with Pastor Dennis Carroll officiating.

No calling is planned.
