He was born July 16, 1939, in Eastern, Ky., to Sim Jackson and Gracie Lee Patton Justice. On June 27, 1959, in Warsaw, he married Velva Imogene “Jean” Rice, who survives in Warsaw.
He was a graduate of Martin High School, Martin, Ky. He lived in Warsaw since 1955 when he moved there from Kentucky. After 40 years of service, he retired in 2002 as a superintendent for the Holiday Rambler Corp., Wakarusa.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliary. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and golfing and was a woodworker and a gardener. Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver on the NASCAR circuit. He coached Little League during the years that all four of his boys played, and he was proud of their achievements. He was “big on family,” enjoying time spent together. He especially enjoyed the grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sons: Marty (and spouse Cindi) Justice, Winona Lake; Richard (and spouse Lisa), Jeff (and spouse Mirna) and Terry (and spouse Jennifer) Justice, all of Warsaw; two sisters, Elizabeth (and spouse Troy) Jarrell, Dana, Ky., and Marie (and spouse Basil) Ward, Cridersville, Ohio; five brothers: Charles (and spouse Cassie) Justice, Martin; Jimmy Justice, Warsaw; Kenneth and Paul (and spouse Wanda) Justice, both of Allen, Ky.; and Jerry Justice, Prestonsburg, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Hayes, who died July 8, 2005; and a brother, Sherrill D. Justice, who died Dec. 28, 2011.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with Pastor Ed Taylor officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
