She was born June 28, 1916, in Warsaw, to Alonzo "Lon" and Blanche Robbins Casel. On April 12, 1942, in South Bend, she married William Arthur Black, who preceded her in death.
Living most of her life in Warsaw, she was employed at Ball Band Redball/Uniroyal Plant, Mishawaka, in the shoes and boots division for 25 years before retiring in 1970-1971. She was a 1934 graduate of Warsaw High School. She was a member of the Supervisor's Club For Uniroyal and First Christian Church, Warsaw. She gave tours for the Warsaw Historical Society and for Real Services.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Paege, South Bend, and Lonnie (and spouse Dan) New, Claypool; four grandchildren: Tammy (and spouse Jim) Adams, Florida; Heather (and spouse Brian) Hoedema, Niles, Mich.; Todd (and spouse Laurie) Rollings, Valparaiso; and Stephanie (and spouse Mike) Hansen, Evansville; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Casel and Everett Robbins; and two sisters, Irene Perry and Ruth Weiss.
Services will be at noon today at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Paul Refior officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
