BREMEN- Helen Virginia Leeper, 78, of Bourbon, passed away March 18, 2012, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 26, 1933, in Bourbon, to Walter and Minnie Young, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 28, 1951, she married Herbert Lee Leeper, who died Jan. 25, 2003.

A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and also worked for several local factories throughout her life and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, traveling, and doing many different crafts. Square dancing with her husband Herbert was one of her favorite things to do. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet (and spouse Edwin) Clark, Billings, Mont., and Sharon (and spouse Gary) Eads, Bourbon; three sons, Deane R. (and spouse Sherrie) Leeper, Bourbon, Gene (and spouse Phyllis) Leeper, Bremen, and David (and spouse Kay) Leeper, Plymouth; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Lula Polson, Laverne Fisher, and Wauneta Denney, and a brother, Carl Leeper. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen., Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday.

Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is in charge of arrangements.
