Helen Easterday, 86, of Warsaw, passed away at 1:25 a.m. Feb. 8, 2013, in her daughter’s residence.
She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Rochester, to Edward and Bessie Guess Sweany. On Aug. 1, 1952, in Fulton, she married Walter L. Easterday, who survives.
A Warsaw resident since 2008, she formerly resided in Rochester and Zephyrhills, Fla. She was a retired nurse’s aid-QMA with 25 years of service at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester. She was an avid bingo player, Chicago Cubs fan and loved her husband, children and grandchildren very much.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (and spouse Dave) Furnivall; a son, Paul Easterday; grandsons, Troy (and spouse Kim) Furnivall and Tracy (and spouse Amy) Furnivall, all of Warsaw; a sister, Betty Hall, Rochester; and six grandchildren: Trent, Katie, Alex, Sara, Trae and Gabe. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Teri White officiating. Burial will be in St. Anne’s Columbarium, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw.
Calling will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
