She was born July 28, 1915, in Mentone, to Henry H. and Nettie Bonnell Griffis. On Aug. 2, 1933, she married Wayne A. Shunk, who died March 20, 1972.
She was a homemaker and owned and operated a Zenith TV sales and service shop with her husband. She continued to do TV repair work herself after her husband passed away. She was a member of Mentone First Baptist Church, where she was a longtime church librarian and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her many friends. She was a Beaver Dam High School graduate.
Surviving are nieces, Paula Whitesell and Betty (and spouse Larry) Boggs, all of Warsaw; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Griffis and a sister, Caddye Rouch.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with the Rev. Richard Tyson officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
