AKRON – Hazel Brown, 85, Rochester, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Sept. 21, 2015, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
She was born July 21, 1930, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Sam and Verlie Nolen Wireman. She married Vernon Ousley, who preceded her in death. She married and divorced Mitchell Bolen, who survives. She married Paul Brown, who preceded her in death.
She lived in Warsaw for 16 years, moving from Ohio and Kentucky. She moved to Rochester and lived there for two years.
She was a factory worker at Torin – Brookside of Rochester. She worked there for 33 years and retired in 1992. She was a member of FOE Eagles Lodge 852 of Rochester and enjoyed gardening and putting together puzzles.
Also surviving are: her daughter, Frances (and spouse Gary) Rhodes, Rochester; two grandchildren, Jason Rhodes and Erin (and fiance Jared Ganshorn) Rhodes; and six great-grandchildren: Austin, Braxton, Skyler, Annie, Braydon and Eli. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Curtis E. Ousley, a brother, Milton Wallen, and a sister, Adie Moore.
Services were September 22 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Robert Brown of God’s Highway to Heaven Church.
