Hate Mail

I knew when I started my petition back in November that not everyone would agree with what I am trying to do. I am happy to say that I have only received a small handful of "hate mail" type of e-mails. That's to be expected since some people will be prosecuted when this works. They know who they are, and they don't like what I am doing.

The most recent hate mail came from a man I will call "Joe". He says, "Sober up and give some real names of your made-up stories, if they are real or something you make up in a drunken state. Don't you have a job, husband, kids, nor friends? Lady, get a life. I hope you get this because you must have a block on your site that you don't want to hear. This is the third time I have tried to sober you up, but have been blocked."

That part made me laugh pretty hard. He talks about how drunk I must be, yet he is the one who couldn't get the e-mail sent to the right place or get his sentences straight. For the record, Joe, I don't drink, and, unfortunately, all of my stories are true.

Many people write to me asking me not to give up. "We need more people like you." "I wish someone had done this sooner." One in big bold letters said, "Please don't give up." One even called me an angel.

To be clear, I am not an angel, and I don't have all the answers. I am a simple person like everyone else. I have just grown tired of seeing all of the many injustices in our courts. I am tired of sitting back and waiting for things to happen that will never happen. I know that if I want anything done, I need to do something about it in the right way. I can't change the laws on my own. So, I am going to the people who can. They won't help each individual person. That is why we are coming together.

There will always be people like Joe. They will not stop this fight for justice and fairness. They can't bully me into stopping. So many parents and children are suffering because of our current laws, lawyers who play games, judges who are not fair, the other parents who won't obey the laws and get away with it, and so much more. It is time for a change.

If you have a child support or visitation story you would like to share, write to me by e-mail at [email protected] or by mail at 4818 S. Scott Rd., Claypool, IN 46510. If you don't have a story to share, you can still help. A simple letter saying something like, "I understand there are problems and I support fixing them," signed with your name is all I ask. Two minutes of your time can help thousands of people.
