Harvey A. Fitzgerald Jr., 74, of Warsaw, died at 3:54 a.m. Aug. 19, 2009, in his residence.

He was born Aug. 6, 1935, in North Manchester, to Harvey A. Fitzgerald Sr. and Georgia Young. On Nov. 8, 1955, in Wabash, he married Shirley Wallen, who survives.

Living in the Warsaw area most of his life, he was an inspector for Zimmer Inc. for 27 years, retiring in 1998. He was a true family man who was a good provider who above all loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed watching western movies and working in the yard.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lynn Fitzgerald and Betty (and spouse Steve) Wilhite, all of Warsaw; two sons, Don Fitzgerald, Austin, Texas, and Jim Wallen Sr., Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren: Ron (and spouse Carrie) Lindzy and Shauna (and spouse Chris) Goble, all of Warsaw; and Jim Wallen Jr., Lafayette; five great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Kaleb Goble, Devin Masterson, Braiden Lindzy and Mark Goble; and a brother, Jim (and spouse Alma) Fitzgerald, Owenton, Ky. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Charles and Bill Fitzgerald, and a sister, Ilene.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Glen Hughes of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in South Pleasant Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
