NORTH MANCHESTER – Harry G. Barrett, 71, of Liberty Mills, died at 3:45 a.m. April 16, 2011, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born June 2, 1939, in Amherstdale, W.Va., to John Henry and Mamie E. Taylor Barrett. On Dec. 25, 1957, he married Mary A. Howes, who died May 31, 1999. On March 13, 2004, he married Jane Campbell, who survives. 
He was a coal miner in West Virginia for five years before coming to Indiana. He then worked for 33 years at United Technologies, North Manchester, and retired from Dexter Axle, North Manchester. He was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are five sons, Wayne Barrett and Jason (and spouse Jodi) Barrett, all of North Manchester, Samuel (and spouse Rosie) Barrett, Terry (and spouse Deborah) Barrett and Harry (and spouse Debra) Barrett, all of Liberty Mills; a brother, John (and spouse Marlena) Barrett, North Manchester; two sisters, Beulah Hurley, Princeton, W.Va., and Mary Belle (and spouse Frank) Music, North Manchester; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren with Pastors Kelly Beutler and chad McAtee officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
