SYRACUSE - Harry E. Heche Jr., 71, of North Webster, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Feb. 4, 2010, in his residence.

He was born March 23, 1938, in Fort Wayne, to Harry Sr. and Thelma Brown Heche Sr. On Jan. 9, 1965, he married Ann Calkins, who survives.

A lifetime area resident, he retired from Maple Leaf Farms and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the North Webster American Legion 253 and attended North Webster Church of God.

Also surviving are a daughter, Kimberly (and spouse Chris) Hattery, Leesburg; five sons: Karl (and spouse Kim) Waugh, Leesburg; Rusty (and spouse Serena) Waugh, Fort Wayne; Harry (and spouse Dawn) Heche III, Fort Wayne; Michael Heche, North Webster; and Richard (and spouse Lynn) Heche, Cromwell; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Karl "Bubby" Waugh Jr.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition, with full military honors by members of American Legion Post 253.

Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with a military walkthrough prior to the service.
