NORTH WEBSTER – Harold L. Campbell, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 9:37 p.m. Jan. 6, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Albion, to George and Erma Rowe Campbell. On Dec. 6, 1947, he married Mary Jane Miller, who preceded him in death. Then on June 17, 1999, in Las Vegas, N.M., he married Mary B. Shepler Hochstetler, who survives.
He graduated in 1947 from North Webster High School and lived most of his life in the Noble and Kosciusko counties area, having lived in Ligonier, Wilmot, Valparaiso and Warsaw. He was the former owner/operator of Campbell’s Farm Equipment and Campbell’s Appliance in Ligonier. He formerly worked as a job superintendent at Foy Construction in Kansas City, Mo., building commercial buildings, and he pulled RVs for Travel Supreme in Wakarusa and for Newmar in Nappanee for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Salem Community Missionary Church in Wilmot.
Also surviving are three daughters: Connie (and spouse Glenn) Troyer, Goshen; Janet (and spouse Scott) Norris, Syracuse; and Sherry (and spouse Gary) Clemons, Ligonier; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Lisa (and spouse Terry) Bratton and Rena Bratton, both of Fort Wayne; two stepsons, Gerald (and spouse Linda) Hochstetler, Warsaw, and Ronald (and spouse Karin) Hochstetler, Germany; two sisters, Phyllis Burnworth, Kimmel, and Shirley Hale, Michigan; three brothers: Fred (and spouse Ruby) Campbell, Ligonier; Jim (and spouse Dorothy) Campbell, Texas; and George (and spouse Jane) Campbell, Goshen. He also was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Campbell.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, with grandson Pastor Jay Troyer of The Gathering, Goshen, and Jack Stump officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
