He was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Warsaw, to Clarence and Margaret Timko Biltz. On Jan. 24, 1959, in Warsaw, he married Kathryn D. Trump, who survives.
He retired from Biltz Shoe Repair, Warsaw, in October 2008, and was an Electrolux dealer for several years. He was a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw. A U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1952-55, as corporal in Co. A 714 Tank Battalion 82nd Airborne in the Korean Conflict.
Also surviving are four children: Polly K. Biltz, Warsaw; Sandy L. Biltz, Fort Wayne; Nancy Biltz (and spouse Amarnath) Mukherjee, San Jose, Calif.; and Mary Beth Biltz (and spouse Dan) Spalding, South Bend; a sister-in-law, Henrietta Biltz, Conyers, Ga.; two sisters, Ida Mae Brown, Warsaw, and Helenjean (and spouse Donald) Goff, Wabash; and two brothers, Clarence (and spouse Carolyn) Biltz, Wabash, and David (and spouse Gayle) Biltz, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Robert Biltz; a sister-in-law, Lucy Biltz; and a brother-in-law, Norman Brown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites by members of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
