In reference to Jeff Harding's letter in the May 1, 2008, Times-Union:

Mr. Harding, please write another letter to the editor as it seems they must not have printed your whole letter on May 1. I am sure part of it is missing because you make all sorts of statements about Senator Obama, yet you provide no evidence to back up your statements.

Specifically, I would like to read the supporting evidence for your statement that Senator Obama is a racist, pure and simple. I assume that you can reference specific statements, either in writing or in a speech, or actions, that are attributed to Senator Obama that back up this statement. Let me add that I expect you to refer to things he has done or said, not that people he has been connected with have done or said.

You state you pray he learns not to judge people without knowing them. So, you must have made yourself very familiar with Senator Obama's speeches, books, senate voting record, etc. You have judged him a racist, and you wouldn't have done that without knowing him, would you?

Please respond as soon as possible. I am anxious to see your evidence that you have based this statement on. If you have to write two or three letters to include all that you have, please do so, as saying someone is a racist is very serious. I am sure you want everyone to benefit from all of the investigation and research that went into that judgment of Senator Obama.
