ETNA GREEN - Community leaders broke ground Wednesday on the future site of a new museum in Etna Green.

Museum Board President Dick Long said a fundraising effort has been underway for eight months to support the new museum.

"We have raised more than $63,000 toward our goal of $100,000 in cash and in-kind services, with promises of $27,000 in grants if all promises are fulfilled," Long said. "However, this still leaves us $10,000 short to complete this project."

The museum is planned to be a 32-foot by 37-foot building. Construction is set to be finished by May.[[In-content Ad]]
