Lawrence and Athalia Gross, 499 S. Ind. 13, Pierceton, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary today at home with their family from Arizona and Pennsylvania.
Lawrence and the former Athalia Dill were married June 16, 1945 at the bride’s parents’ home in Pierceton, by the Rev. Victor E. Stoner from the Pierceton United Methodist Church. Lawrence retired from the U.S. Air Force in May 1970, after 28 years of service as a lieutenant colonel and a command pilot with over 9,000 hours of flying time. Athalia has enjoyed being a housewife and occasionally working at an antique shop. Their life as a part of the air force was an interesting one, as was life as civilians, thanks to the Lord’s plan for them.
They have two children: Mary Beth (and spouse Jim) Esneault, Prescott, Ariz., and James Lawrence (and spouse Joyce) Gross, Bird-in-Hand, Penn.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.[[In-content Ad]]

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves. Each of the four players were asked the same eight questions. Below are each of their answers.

Kosciusko County
2025 Meetings

Town of Claypool
Additional Appropriations

KCCRVC

Solid Waste
