Lawrence and Athalia Gross, Pierceton, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary June 16, 2010.

Lawrence and the former Athalia Dill were married at the residence of the bride's parents, Lester and Mary Dill, Pierceton, by the Rev. Victor Stoner of the United Methodist Church.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1970, after a 28-year career. He was a lieutenant colonel and a command pilot with many hours of flying time.

They have two children, Mary (and spouse Jim) Esneault, Peoria, Ariz., and Jim (and spouse Joyce) Gross, Bird-in-Hand, Pa.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

The couple will celebrate with a gathering of family and friends when the family comes from Arizona, Utah and Pennsylvania for a summer visit.
