Grill To Speak At Winona Appreciation Dinner

WINONA LAKE - Dr. Stephen A. Grill, dean of community education, Grace Schools, will be the guest speaker at the Winona Lake Community Appreciation Dinner, "A Step Back in Time," March 4 at Grace College's Robert and Frances Gordon Student Recreation Center.
The 6 p.m. event includes a tour of the recreation center, a presentation of the William Reneker Memorial Community Service Award, a review of last year's town events and accomplishments and a home improvement recognition.
Brent Wilcoxson will give updates on the Village At Winona. Other speakers include local artists and town council president Jerry Clevenger.
A local barbershop quartet will perform.
Tickets are $15 per person, available at the town hall. Reservation deadline is Feb. 27.
Grill is well-known throughout Kosciusko County as a moderator for the Kosciusko Leadership Academy. He is a member of the Kosciusko County Foundation Executive Board, Biomet Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee and the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce Education Council.
Many area residents know him as "Billy Sunday" in the production of "Down the Sawdust Trail." He has lived in Winona Lake for 37 years. His interest in the town's history led his to the directorship of The Reneker Museum of Winona History. His topic for the dinner is "Why Winona?"
There will be table displays by the Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District; town projects like the Lake City Greenway and improvements to CR 250E and Kings Highway; the Village At Winona and others.
