Kenneth and the former Bonnie Smith were married May 20, 1933, at her parent’s residence in Etna Green by the Rev. Raymond Coon. After the ceremony they celebrated with a dinner with the family.
The couple met in Etna Green, moved to Mentone and Kenneth worked for Manwarings. Moving to Warsaw, Kenneth farmed and worked for Sharps Harware until they moved to Bremen. At this time Kenneth went into partnership with Ray Martin staring Martin and Gragg, an International Harvester dealership. In the late 1950s he took over the IH dealership in Nappanee and Warsaw which is Bobcat of Warsaw, formerly Gragg Equipment Co. After retiring they spent 20 winters in Fort Myers Beach and Arcadia, Fla., with friends.
He still went to Bobcat of Warsaw until he was 99. At that time he decided he could retire.
Bonnie is a homemaker, mother and busy grandmother and great-grandmother.
They have two children, Don (and spouse Diana) Gragg, Sturgis, Mich., and Joann (and spouse Merl) Heckaman, Warsaw; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with an open house May 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, where they are members. If you are unable to attend they would enjoy cards sent to them at 16 Henderson Drive, Warsaw.[[In-content Ad]]
