He was born Dec. 28, 1942, in Matewan, to Paris L. and Minnie Coleman Presley. He married Elizabeth Ann Dearfield, who survives.
He was a truck driver, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Tug River Freewill Baptist Church, Sprigg, W.Va.
Also surviving are a son, William Cole (and spouse Vicki) Presley, Cedar Hill, Tenn.; two daughters, Beth Marlene Dotson (and Roby Thornsberry) and Marsha Colleen Lester (and spouse Harold) Lockard, all of Matewan; a brother, Roy (and spouse Edna) Presley, Mentone; a sister, Ruth Presley, Man, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Roger, Bridgett, Sara, Logan, Zach, Kerri, Brandon and Cole; three step-grandchildren, Brittney Lockard and L.E. and Issac Lester; a former son-in-law, Peppy Lester; and many living family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Alvin, Travis and Leon Presley and Paul Dotson; a sister, Gertrude Dotson; and a special lifetime friend, Marsha Kirk.
Services were Saturday at Chambers Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Bobbi Stiltner officiating. Burial was in Merrimac (W.Va.) Cemetery.
