Please forgive this commoner should I not use big words or if I don't spell every word correctly. I also have read many of the letters in this column. Several recent letters have caused me to take exceptions.

So there are 100-plus pork projects with our president's stimulus bill(s). Do you recall President Obama having to (shall we say) buy votes for health care? That is still called politics, like it or not. The middle class will always be under siege. This is not Obama and his thugs doing.

Recall G.W. Bush and you'll understand what real thugs do. Their tyranny took our country to the brink of disaster, that was real tyranny. G.W. Bush should have been tried for treason for what he did to our country. Didn't you think that adding a trillion dollars-plus for every year G.W. Bush set his egotistical butt in the oval office that it would not increase our nation's deficit? Wake up, ye Republican clones.

What have the democrats done to help our nation, while in total control? (What chance have the dems had following the deliberate doings of GW?) Well, perfect or not, they've attempted to help "The People", not themselves. Also, members of our Congress have always exempted themselves from everything they didn't want to be part of. They call this "power" and they will never relinquish it.

The Patriot Act has set the world record for pork. One other note, "Not My Man Mitch" will run for president. It was a republican goal from the start. If Mitch has accomplished anything at all, he gets his way or else.

Last note: Coats reminds me of a tactic that happened in an out-of-county VFW 20-some years ago. A first vice commander was up for commander of the post, but the district commander decided to run for commander again. Soon after they found out the district would not support his run for state commander, so he came back from the post figuring he could get support he needed from the post. That did not happen.

This is Coats ... come back to the Senate, serve a few years and say what you want, but I too am allowed my opinion even if I spell a word wrong.
