Music and comedy will combine for the next Lakeland Community Concert Association concert.

Dale Gonyea will perform Oct. 11 at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake, at 7:30 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]"At the age of 5," Gonyea says, "I got up very early one morning and, without a single lesson, spontaneously began playing the piano. My parents were astonished because we did not have a piano. They decided I needed therapy or music lessons. Therapy was expensive. They bought a piano and a career was born."

A University of Michigan music graduate, Gonyea uses the piano as a springboard for his unique humor.

Gonyea is an Emmy Award winner, a Clio nominee and a Grammy nominee. His song "Has Anybody Seen My Heart?" was featured in the HBO movie "The Girl Gets Moe" starring Tony Danza.

A Lakeland Community Concert Association season ticket, which includes five concerts, is $35. A ticket for an individual show at the door is $15. By buying a season ticket, a person can save $40.

Children, 18 years old and younger, may attend free when accompanied by an adult member. A 10 percent discount is available for groups of 20 or more individuals.

In addition, LCCA subscription cards are honored at community concerts in Kendallville, Kokomo and LaPorte.

The remaining shows for the 2008-09 concert season include: the Christmas show with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Dec. 21, 2 p.m., Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center; Romanza Music, April 18, Rodeheaver Auditorium, 7:30 p.m.; and The Brett Family, May 16, Rodeheaver Auditorium, 7:30 p.m.
