God Wants Health Reform

Editor, Times-Union:

I was doing some reading, of course, once again in your Letters to the Editor section. Many complaining about how much they would have to pay for insurance to help those people who cannot afford insurance, those who may or may not be illegal, those who are to lazy to work, and the list goes on and on. What occurred to me is that many of those doing the complaining have professed to believe in God, believing in Jesus.

According to scripture it is not up to the government to take care of the poor, the needy, those with special needs, those who are out of work, and this list goes on and on. God loves each and every person the same from the wealthy to the poorest of the poor. It's time those that profess to love our Savior step up to the plate and help out your neighbor and those down the street, or then again pay later because maybe, just maybe, those that have the votes and are passing health care reform just might know what God wants.
