Glenn H. Stauffer, 77, Winona Lake, went home to be with the Lord at 11:20 a.m. Nov. 6, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born March 15, 1932, in Mt. Joy, Pa., to Noah and Edyth Bernhard Stauffer Brubaker Stauffer. On Dec. 28, 1952, he married Phyllis S. Gainer, who survives in Winona Lake.

A Kosciusko County resident for the past 44 years, coming from Pennsylvania, he was a carpenter for Grace College, Winona Lake, from 1965 until his retirement in 1998, working on Beta Dorm and Morgan Library. He was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.

Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy S. Stauffer, West Peoria, Ill.; four sons: Gerald L. (and spouse Mary) Stauffer, Orion, Mich.; Steven G. (and spouse Sandra) Stauffer, Winona Lake; Douglas B. (and spouse Donna) Stauffer, Ithaca, N.Y.; Michael S. (and spouse Marlissa) Stauffer, Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Winona Lake, with Pastor Bruce Barlow officiating. A private graveside service will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m., all at the church.
