He was born June 28, 1918, to Russell and Maude Pierce Palmer. On July 2, 1944, he married Imogene Amick, who died Jan. 18, 2009.
He graduated from Huntington High School. He also was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. He was retired from the former Seal test Plant in Huntington. He was a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge F&AM 73 in Warsaw, and was a 50-year bowler in the American Bowling Congress Hall of Fame.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Linda Palmer, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Graveside services and Masonic burial were Monday at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, with the Rev. David Smitley officiating.
McElhaney-Funeral Home, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.
