He was born in Clinton to Edwin and Emily Paultlierre Clark. On March 26, 1962, he married Mary Maxine Hendricks, who died Oct. 29, 1999.
He retired after 40 years from Seaboard System Railroad, where he worked as a gate foreman. During World War II, he was a telegraph operator for Western Union. He was a member of Garfield Masonic Lodge 569 and a former softball coach, both in Hammond. He enjoyed Facebook, fishing and music. He played the trumpet and keyboard.
Survivors are a son, Randy (and spouse Amber) Randhan, Woodlands, Texas; two daughters: Emily (and spouse Scott) Miller, Ellettsville, and Glenda (and spouse Brent) Seekins, Marion; a sister, Martha Meyers, Terre Haute; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several cousins in Terre Haute. He also was preceded in death by two daughters, Sherrie Corbett and Kathy Oldegard; two sons, Gregory Randhan and Donald Randhan; his parents, Edwin and Emily Clark; a brother, Paul Ross Clark; and a sister, Louise.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, with the Rev. Thomas South officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with a Masonic Rites service at 7:30 p.m.
