Tickets for the show go on sale Tuesday at 8 a.m.
After 21 Top 40 hits and selling nearly 50 million records worldwide, the “Rhinestone Cowboy” is preparing to saddle up and ride into the sunset. In June, Campbell was diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Because of his illness, Campbell wanted to perform one more time before retiring from the music industry, so he created “The Goodbye Tour” as his farewell to fans and to concert touring.
A country music singer, guitarist, television host and actor, Campbell is best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and ’70s, as well as hosting a variety show called “The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour.” During his 50 years in show business, Campbell released more than 70 albums and made history by winning five Grammys in both the country and pop categories.
Some of Campbell’s hits include “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Gentle on My Mind,” “By the Time I Get To Phoenix,” “Galveston” and “Southern Nights.”
In 2005, Campbell’s storied career added another notch to its belt when he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. During the 2012 Grammy Awards Ceremony, the child of an Arkansas sharecropper received a Lifetime Achievement award, bringing his Grammy total to six.
Tickets are $29, $39, $49 and $75, and may be purchased at the box office beginning 8 a.m. Tuesday by calling 260-563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org[[In-content Ad]]
