He was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Kokomo, to E. Glen and Catherine Sweeten Bone.
He moved to Kosciusko County from the Kokomo area in 1972. He was a machinist at Craig Welding & Manufacturing, Mentone, for 10 years, retiring in 2003. He graduated from Galveston High School in 1959 and was a member of Moose Lodge 1423 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1126, both in Warsaw. He enjoyed camping with Dorothy and the annual backyard community fish fry held around the Michigan/Notre Dame football game.
Surviving are his special companion, Dorothy Anderson; four daughters: Brenda Bone, Warsaw; Teresa (and spouse Tollie) Turner, Greenville, Ohio; Kathy (and spouse Andy) Boyer, Sullivan, Mo.; and Sharon (and spouse Bud) Spears, Middleburg, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Barbara (and spouse Tom) Wineland, Goshen, and Sue (and spouse Jim) Sonnefield, Marion; a stepson, Robert Anderson, Fort Wayne; a sister, Donna (and spouse Robert) Walker, Galveston; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Bone; his mother, Catherine Bone Jacoby; his stepfather, Manson Jacoby; and three grandsons, Austin James Bone and Willie Lee and Cory Allen Turner.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. Jim Sonnefield, stepson-in-law. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
