Give GOP A Chance

There are 11 states that are on the verge of bankruptcy. Democrats control the legislatures of 10 of those states and thus the spending and taxing for those states. The Democrat formula for getting elected is to grant privileges, money and other benefits to selected special interest groups such as Hispanics, those on welfare, unions, African-Americans, trial lawyers and the very, very wealthy, and then to spread the cost for that over the rest of the population.

Since there is also a group of people who believe that the government should provide for everyone, that is usually enough for the Democrats to get elected - until they run out of other people's money. States are unable to print their own money and so they are limited to the amount they can borrow, which means they have to control their spending but the federal government can print money and borrow, and the Democrats used to believe that the borrowing is unlimited. President Obama still believes that as is obvious from his projections of trillion dollar deficits for the near future.

The Democrat Congress is starting to understand the problem they have caused for they have now refused to publish a budget and five-year forecast as has been the practice in the past. They do not want us to see what they have in store for us.

The Democrats have a real problem for if they stop their usual practices they will lose their supporters. Even they are starting to accept that the deficits we have with the spending planned is unsustainable so all they can do is try to conceal the problem. Are they also hiding something about social security for that annual report is two months overdue? Is it in even worse shape than we think?

The Republicans started all of this irresponsible spending under President Bush but are now claiming they will repent and reduce the spending and taxing (maybe even enact a flat tax?) which will lead to our becoming prosperous again. We do not have a third party to turn to and we can't change the Democrats, so our only alternative is to give the Republicans another chance to rescue us in November.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are for people over the age of 70.5 years old. Unlike other distributions, which are taxed at ordinary income tax rates, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow for a tax-free distribution from an IRA, provided that the distribution goes directly to a qualified charity.
