Editor, Times-Union:
I am extremely saddened by the news of Kosciusko County Republican Chairman Randy Girod officially stepping down.
Words cannot begin to describe the service Mr. Girod has done for the Republican party in Kosciusko. He has always been extremely committed to seeing the party flourish and doing what is beneficial for our community.
When I wanted to become involved in local politics he welcomed me and helped me at every turn. I am proud to call him a friend. I have heard talk of Mike Ragan stepping up and running for the chairmanship.
Mike is a fine individual whose only goal is to see the entire Republican party succeed across the board. He will be a committed leader for Kosciusko Republicans. As we Republicans have a transition within our party, I thank Mr. Girod for all he has done to allow us to succeed and grow together.
