We have a president who sold us leadership, his confidence, and his ability to deliver. But instead, he came into office with training wheels on his presidency, uncertain and unarmed.
He immediately, and willingly, turned the government over to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, then stepped back from any active participation in the legislation being forced on America today. His silence spoke volumes of his complicity in their blatant abuse of power, when those boundaries are clearly defined in the Constitution. That's the document this president considers fundamentally flawed. And most of the legislators think the name sounds familiar, but aren't really certain.
Maybe America should decide if the problem is really with the legislators. Or is the problem really with us the citizens? No one goes to Washington without our vote. And we're the ones sending these cocky, misguided, out-of-control people back to D.C. time after time.
Anyone who has served 30 to 40 years has been drinking from the public trough far too long. But then again, considering their attitude, their elitist demeanor, and their total incompetence, they may be unfit for honest employment. For in the real world, problems require exploration of data resulting in goal-oriented resolutions, not just knee-jerk reactions because the day of the week ends in "y." Most jobs require a modicum of logical reasoning, not just throwing something against the wall to see what sticks. And anyone found engaging in corruption, chronic lying, using manipulated data, and calling those they work for disparaging names, are immediately fired.
Those we send back to Washington believe this is a government of the legislators, by the legislators, and for the legislators. And they have made it abundantly clear that the rules don't apply to them.
