NORTH MANCHESTER -Geraldine M. Jeri Schneider Nordman, 79, of North Manchester, died at 4 p.m. March 2, 2009, in her daughter's residence in Warsaw.

She was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Kosciusko County, to Cecil H. Sr. and Lydia L. Norton Huntley. On Aug. 15, 1947, she married Claude Bud Schneider. On Feb. 14, 1969, she married Jack J. Nordman, who died April 3, 2004.

She worked at Sunnyside Farm and Hi-Grade plant for 22 years, retiring in 1993.

Surviving are six sons: Claude Eugene Schneider, Madison; James (and spouse Pat) Schneider and Eric S. Nordman, all of North Manchester; Gery (and spouse Vickie) Schneider, Fort Wayne; David Schneider, Peculiar, Mo.; and Michael Schneider, Liberty Mills; a daughter, Linda (and spouse David) Holler, Warsaw; two sisters, Dorothy Bressler, Fort Wayne, and Carla Thompson, Two Harbors, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, three stepbrothers and a stepsister.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
