He was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Roseville, Mich., to George and Helen Dick Gibbs. He married Virginia Graham, who preceded him in death. On May 2, 1981, in Reno, Nev., he married Joanne Lunau, survives.
He moved to Kosciusko County in 2005, and was an auto mechanic for H&L Motors.
Also surviving are a son, Darrin (and wife Nadine) Gibbs, Atwood; four grandchildren, Ginni, Nicholas, Jaime' Lee and Devin, all of Atwood; a great-granddaughter, Autum, Atwood; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dan (Elsa) Lynch, Vancouver, Wash.; three step-grandchildren, Kira, Kari and Kyle, all of Vancouver; a brother, Glen (and wife Bess) Gibbs, Warren, Mich.; three sisters: Betty LaLonde, Rush City, Minn.; Sandra Keener, Navarre, Fla.; and Mrs. Ron (Andrea) Smith, Irasburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Loren; and stepson, Orrin Russell.
No services or calling are planned.
