Gerald F. Kiser, 69, of Leesburg, died at 4 p.m. May 26, 2009, in his residence.

He was born April 30, 1940, in North Webster, to Lewis "Bud" and Doris M. Smith Kiser. On June 30, 1961, he married Mary Lou Christian, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he grew up in North Webster before moving to Leesburg. He was a truck driver for many years when he retired. He also worked for Yoder Transport, New Paris. He was a member of Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, American Legion and Rozella Golf Course, all of Warsaw.

Also surviving are a son, Gary L. Kiser, Warsaw; two daughters, Kerry Fuller and Kelli Kiser, both of Leesburg; a brother, Lewis D. (and spouse Pam) Kiser, Goshen; a sister, Marsha (and spouse Wayne) Huffman, Pierceton; grandchildren, Richard and Ami Steg and Hilary and Dylan Kiser, all of Warsaw, and Kaelei Fuller, Leesburg; and two great-grandchildren, Ashytn Poe and Alexis Steg, both of Warsaw. He also has a great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl and Bernard Kiser; and a granddaughter, Taera Kiser.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Captain Jody Dahlberg and Ken Locke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
