MILFORD – Genoveva Brito, 68, of Syracuse, passed away Feb. 14, 2012, in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital.

She was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Pedro and Anastacia Granados Ramirez. On  Jan. 3, 1965, she married Domingo Pedro Brito at St Francis of Xavier Catholic Church, La Feria, Texas. He survives.

She worked at R.R. Donnelly & Sons, Warsaw, for several years before working and eventually retiring in 2010 from Serenade Foods, Milford. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loving person and considered many to be part of her extended family. She enjoyed cooking and insisted that you ate when you visited. She always smiled and enjoyed spending time with people. She was a giving person, always helping however she could. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she was very involved in various ministries.

Also surviving are three sons, John “J.R.” Brito (and fiancé Colette Beery), North Webster, and Jesse Sr. (and spouse Laura) Brito and Joel (and spouse Teresa) Brito, all of Milford; a daughter, Jessica Brito, Milford; nine grandchildren: Jessica, Amanda, Robbie, Maria (and spouse Jose Louis) Ortiz, Anastacia, Dorinda, Jesse Jr., Alejandra and Dominica; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Anastacia Ramirez; and two brothers, Ricardo G. Ramirez Sr., Chicago Heights, Ill., and Pedro Ramirez Jr., San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro, and a brother, Eulalio G. Ramirez.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Paul Bueter officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery,   Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
