BOURBON - Genevra Editha Kelley Wright Kaiser, 89, of 316 Woodies Lane, Bremen, and formerly of Bourbon, said goodbye to her earthly family to be reunited with her God, his Son Jesus Christ, her husband, Pally Wright, her parents and her sisters at 11:10 p.m. April 27, 2007, in Bremen Health Care.

She was born March 19, 1918, in Blackford County, to James Franklin and Myrtle Elna Palmer Kelley. On April 25, 1938, she married K.P. "Pally" Wright, who died June 30, 1989. She then married Bernard Kaiser, who preceded her in death.

Living in the area since 1974, she graduated from Roll High School and earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Ball State University. Post graduate studies were from the University of Wyoming and Northern Michigan University. A retired teacher, she taught in the public schools of Atwood, Nappanee, Elk Rapids, Mich., and Traverse Bay Intermediate Schools District, Traverse City, Mich.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Sarah) Reichert, Bourbon, and Judy Hale, Niles, Mich.; a son, James B. (and wife Janice) Wright, Spearfish, S.D.; eight grandchildren; Mrs. Bob (Kelley) Ross, Mrs. David (Rhonda) Hoover; Mrs. Daniel (Teresa) Messenger; Mrs. Joe (Cheryl) Fortuna, Mrs. Shannon (Julie) Rolando, Jill Wright, Mrs. Charlie (Genie) Bouck and Jimmy Wright; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Grace E. Kelley, Ruth Kitterman, Esther Dearfield and Frances Patterson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 Main St., Bourbon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren, with a graveside service at 2 p.m.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
