Emanuel Geiger, 5289 N. CR 900E, Churubusco, turned 100 years old Jan. 16, 2012.

He was born Jan. 16, 1912, in Rome City, to Emanuel A. and Matilda McCoy Geiger.

On April 17, 1929, he married Mabel M. Cotton, who is deceased.

He has seven children: Bonnie Nicodemus; Gene and Paul Lee, both of Churubusco; the late Melvin: Darlene Delanoy, Columbia City; Junior, Huntington; and DeLynn, Warsaw; 25 grandchildren, two are deceased; 67 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.

There will be an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Churubusco Nazarene Church Christian Life Center, 1000 W. Whitley St.[[In-content Ad]]
