Gas Prices

Editor, Times-Union:
I see this morning that our local gasoline prices jumped again to $2.329 per gallon. Why?
It is common knowledge that the wholesale gasoline and oil markets are taking a beating. There is a worldwide glut of oil. Still, our local distributors and retailers manage to raise the price of gasoline.
I was told by one retail outlet in Warsaw that the only reason gas prices rise is because of “owner greed.” I tend to believe them. It appears that citizens are merely pawns in this little game with no recourse. Why hasn’t the state attorney general or the federal or state legislators looked into this ongoing scenario?
It’s time that the government or the news media question these gas price “games.” I’m sure someone would come up with some lame excuse to justify this gas price circus.
